The song on top is playing now. The challenger below stays silent until you press and hold its card — holding pauses the current song, releasing brings it back and never counts as an answer.
Tap Older or Newer for the challenger vs. the current song. Right: the challenger takes over the deck and the streak climbs. Wrong: sudden death.
Early challengers land far away in time. Survive to streak 10 and they're landing within a few years.
