You start with two anchor songs on a timeline, years showing, at least 25 years apart — a wide-open board.
Each round a mystery song plays — title, artist, and year hidden. Tap a gap in the timeline — before the first song, between two songs, or after the last — to place it where you think it belongs. A song from the same year as its neighbour fits on either side of it.
Hold any card to hear that song again and compare it with the mystery. Let go and the mystery resumes — a hold never places anything.
Right gap: the song locks in and the timeline grows tighter. Wrong gap: a strike, and the song is gone — only correct placements stay. Land one slot away and you'll hear about it. Three strikes ends the run; your score is the songs you placed.
